11th Annual Quilt Show

Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 - 10 am - 4 pm - Salisbury Congregational Church

Admire the many beautiful quilts draped over the pews throughout the church. All quilts are welcome in the exhibit -- whether made by you or a relative, purchased or received. Please bring your quilt(s) to the church from October 8-10 between 9 am and 3 pm. Cards will be available to list your name, contact information, and each quilt's "story," such as its design, its quilter, and how it was acquired if known.

Magic Shows

Saturday, October 12 - 11 am and 2 pm

Two free magic shows with Peter James. Gather outside the Salisbury Congregation Church on Library Street for a fun event for kids of all ages.

Jazz Musician

Saturday, October 12 - 11 am to 1 pm

Local jazz musician Eric Loffswold will be playing solo jazz guitar in the courtyard behind the Salisbury General Store. Enjoy a mellow mix of jazz standards and bossa novas plus a few surprises!

Crafts and Games

Saturday, October 12 – 10 am to 4 pm - Scoville Memorial Library lawn

Lots of autumn crafts and games for children of all ages – pumpkin painting, arts and crafts, glitter tattoos, lawn games, popcorn, and more. Sponsored by SOAR, Scoville Memorial Library, Salisbury Central School 8th Grade Class and EXTRAS.

Blue Studio Dance Performance

Saturday, October 12 - 1 pm — on The White Hart lawn

Enjoy a dance performance showcasing the amazing work of students in the Blue Studio’s programs. Check out the variety of dance classes offered in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut.

Martha Graham Dance Performance

Saturday, October 12 - 2 pm to 3 pm The Buttons Garden outside the Scoville Memorial Library

National Iron Bank presents two iconic Martha Graham Dances: The Apple Dance from El Penitente and Lamentation performed by Graham 2. Following the performance, Graham dancers will lead children of all ages in expressive movement using props and fabric tubes. Plus “Graham” crackers and apple cider to enjoy.

World Percussion Jam

Saturday, October 12 — 1:30 to 3:30

Join a renown percussionist, John Marshall, and friends for a fun trip around the world. They will be playing in the courtyard behind the Salisbury General Store.

4rd Annual Pet Parade

Sunday, October 13 – Noon -- Lakeville Community Field (behind Patco)

Enjoy the Pet Parade featuring a variety of dogs and other pets with and without costumes. (Past entrants included a goat and a turtle!) After the short parade through town, return to Community Field for the awarding of prizes in various categories, such as best costume, biggest dog, and longest tail. If you plan to enter a pet in the parade, please download the registration form HERE.
