Scarecrow Display

Throughout the weekend

See the many scarecrows lining Main Street in both Salisbury and Lakeville. Then vote for your favorites—ballots are available at the Salisbury General Store, White Hart Inn, and Grassland Dessert Cafe. Cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 for winners of two categories: Individuals & Families and Schools & Non-Profits. A trophy will be awarded to Best Business Scarecrow. 12th Annual Quilt Show

Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11 - 10 am - 4 pm - Salisbury Congregational Church

Admire the many beautiful quilts draped over the pews throughout the church. All quilts are welcome in the exhibit -- whether made by you or a relative, purchased or received. Please bring your quilt(s) to the church from October 6-8 between 10 am and 2 pm. Cards will be available to list your name, contact information, and each quilt's "story," such as its design, its quilter, and how it was acquired if known.

Friday Concert

Friday, October 10 - 12:00 – 1:00 pm - at the Salisbury Congregational Church

Enjoy a free concert at the Salisbury Congregational Church featuring Irish-American soprano Francesca Federico accompanied by Dan Franklin Smith on piano, Ben Russel on violin, and Clarice Jensen on cello. Federico was born in Paris and is based in New York City. She is a Fulbright Scholar and completed a performance residency in Ireland. Her debut album, Visions and Ecstasies, will be released October 24th.

Join us for a relaxed “Sip & Stroll” event to kick off the Fall Festival weekend! Stop in the shops along Main Street and Academy Street for a variety of refreshments to sip and enjoy, along with shopping and socializing. See an art show and enjoy live music.

Martha Graham Dance Performance

National Iron Bank presents two iconic Martha Graham Dances: The Apple Dance from El Penitente and Lamentation performed by Graham 2. Following the performance, Graham dancers will lead children of all ages in expressive movement using props and fabric tubes. Plus “Graham” crackers and apple cider to enjoy.

5th Annual Pet Parade

Sunday, October 12 – Noon – Lakeville Community Field (behind Patco)

Don't miss the Pet Parade! Registration opens at 11:30 and the parade commences at 12:00. Don't have a dog? Bring your turtle, goat, pig, cat, or any other pet with or without a costume. All pets must be leashed or otherwise contained by you. Following a short parade, prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories.
